Hello everyone, Chief Meteorologist Dan Skoff with your weekend daily weather details.
Tonight will be another hard freeze with morning lows bottoming out around the lower 20s. Saturday will be sunny, but a bit more mild due to a southerly wind with highs hitting the upper 40s to around 50. For Lights of the Ozarks on the downtown Fayetteville Square, the temp will be around the 40 degree mark dropping into the mid 30s by the end of the night.
As we head into Sunday that next cold front will start to
push in from the northwest later in the day. The cold front itself will
not go through NW Arkansas until early Monday morning, but it will
still lead to cloudy skies and some light rain later Sunday evening.
That rain will continue into Monday morning until the cold front moves
through the area. With that cold front going through early Monday
morning any rain wraps up Monday evening, with high pressure starting
to build in from the north later in the day.
With high pressure moving in later Monday, it looks like another round
of some dry, quiet and cold weather will settle in for Tuesday and
Wednesday. An early look at the Thanksgiving forecast has a low
pressure system moving in from the west during the day. That will lead
to cloudy skies and some light to moderate rain on your Turkey Day,
and especially on Friday. Keep in mind that we are still 6 days or
so away from Thanksgiving so that forecast could change, especially if
that storm system decides to speed up, slow down or weaken. We will
keep a close eye on that for you in the coming days and keep you
updated, so stay tuned!
